Carter To Grant U S Employes Pay Boost

President Carter said he will grant 3.4 million federal workers a pay raise in October, with amounts still under review. A 7.05 percent across the board is favored by some agencies, while an 8.4 percent boost is urged by the Federal Employes Pay Council.
