Visit to Homer and Iowa relatives noted in Ponca Journal

The Ponca Journal reports Miss Freda Wallwey and Misses Freda and Alvina Harrigfeldt journeyed to Ashton Idaho with Mrs E Harrigfeldt accompanying to Omaha. Also noted is a severe hailstorm damaging Jackson corn, and a visit by Sisters Mary Fidelis and Mary Katherine of Dubuque to Mrs Katherine Twohig. A large family reunion at Mrs Twohig's home drew over fifty guests including Dr P E Keeffe and several Twohigs from Sioux City and Sioux Falls.

C R Young reports a good meeting of the County Pure Bred Live Stock Association in Hubbard last Thursday. They will set up a breeder's booth at the Interstate fair to redistribute directories and list surplus stock for sale. A Nebraska cow owned by the University of Nebraska College of Agriculture is aiming for a record after 191 days of milking. She averaged over four pounds of butter daily, totaling 17 176.7 pounds of milk and 797 57 pounds of butter, while still yielding about 85 pounds daily with 174 days remaining.
