Funeral Procession In Chicago Draws 25000 Participants
In Chicago on Sept 26 a memorial pageant drew at least 25,000 people. Civic and military groups marched led by Gen James W Forsythe as Grand Marshal. The two hour procession featured a long line of march with twelve bands, furled flags, bells tolling, cannons firing, and a catafalque drawn by eight draped horses. Open air services followed, with gatherings at Farwell Hall and various churches.

Guiteau to Be Indicted by Grand Jury Next Monday
