Parks Man Injured in Death Strip Crash Near Castro Valley
A Parks Air Force base sergeant, Edward Schwetke 87, of Dallas Texas, and passenger Mon Yee 25 of San Francisco were injured when three vehicles collided on Highway 59 east of Castro Valley. Eng 25 of Long appeared to swerve to avoid Schwetke, but the front of Eng’s car struck Schwetke, sending his vehicle into a tractor and double trailer. Truck driver Lawrence Taylor 42 of Porterville was also injured.
