Missing wife found buried in desert rocks
Evelyn Latham 51, wife of a rich investment broker, was found near a desert highway after claiming two women kidnapped her and buried her alive under rocks. She identified Beatrice Winn 57 and Lucille M Whisenand 36 as the kidnappers. Both were arrested on kidnapping and attempted murder charges after Latham, bruised and partially incoherent, described four hours of travel and confinement.
