Pint-size banker builds two-foot railroad in Utah backyard

Orville Gunther, president of Bank of American Fork, fulfilled a boyhood dream by constructing a pint-sized two-foot-wide railway on 2 1/2 acres behind his home in American Fork. He drove the golden spike on a 2,000-foot loop, spending thousands of dollars to create a working replica of 1870s steam engines. Gunther, his family, and neighbors enjoy weekend rides as he plans to expand with spurs, switches, a caboose, station, water tower, and roundhouse for grandchildren and visitors.
