Leonard J Leon of the Oakland firm says the 16 acre site being excavated will host a major national department store, several smaller shops and 2000 parking spaces. The Swift and Heyer property was bought by Minnie Rabinovich for about 600000, with two national firms negotiating for occupancy of the three story building. Access will be via Main and E streets, with rooftop parking at the north and south ends near Memorial Park.
