Red Cross San Lorenzo Drive Gets Under Way

The San Lorenzo Village Red Cross fund campaign begins today with volunteers offering time and services. Stanley Block, chairman, announced plans to join the national drive early this week. Volunteers from Wednesdy Card Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary, American Legion auxiliary, and local fire department auxiliary will canvass homes and visit businesses in Four Corners and Village shopping plaza. The drive continues through the month, with coordinators Mrs Emilio Theilo, Mrs Evelyn Bryan, Mrs Myrtle Bedsworth, Mrs Mabel Bryan, Mrs Jean Yeoman, Hooper, and Mervyn Morris guiding efforts.

Mt Eden residents protested PG E high power lines planned to cross near the Mt Eden school district and a new subdivision. Four Dead In Dublin Three Lane Crash Involving Van And Mercury

A three lane highway crash near Dublin left four dead and two injured.
