Christine Miller and John Quiroz wed at St. John’s Catholic Church in San Lorenzo. Miller wore a long pale grey gown with white sheer and lace. Patricia Turpin was maid of honor. bridesmaids wore lavender dresses. Andre Hill stood as best man. ushers were Mike Alaniz and Felix Dominguez. They honeymooned in Monterey Carmel and Lake Tahoe and now reside in Fremont.
The Castro Valley Women's Club plans an Old-fashioned Tun fest on July 4 with a Community Picnic from 1 am to 4 pm at Castro Valley Community Center near Quail Avenue and Lake Cha bot Road. Activities include sack races a watermelon eating contest and craft blocks for youngsters under supervision of Hayward Areas Recreation District. Families may bring picnics or buy food from booths run by local service groups.
Debi Thomas and Clifford A NanArrow wed yesterday at Stanford University chapel. The couple plan a Hawaii honeymoon and Cliffs Navy duty station. Debi, a Castro Valley Young Life staffer, is daughter of Martha and John Thomas. Cliff is son of Richie Naneatrow of Reno. Reception held at Moffett Field Officers Club. Randy Loyd and Family Reunion performed, later joining a USO Europe tour. Debis sister Devon was maid of honor and Paull NanArrow was best man. Bridesmaids include Debi Hopkins and Linda McMillan among others.
Marjorie Mitchell became Mrs. Thomas Williams at St. Clement’s Church Hayward. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mitchell, with the Williams family in Hayward. Tony Williams is a Cal State Hayward student and pitcher. The gown was organza with attendants in pale blue crepe, and the wedding party included matron of honor Mrs. Michael Rodgers and bridesmaids Palria Mitchell, Mrs. Richard Finger, Lyn Cunningham, and Diane Williams. Jerry Manix, Ronald LaPlante, Sam Major, James Watkins, and Gregory Souza served as best man and ushers. The newlyweds spent their honeymoon in Hawaii.
Arlene Suzanne Luckock, a San Leandro native and Oakland graduate, earned a PhD in physiology at 25 from UC Berkeley. She presented in Vancouver, works post doctorally at Stanford Medical Center on genetic differences in metabolism of steroid hormones in mice, and plans a faculty career in acting and research while staying active in church, music, and volunteer causes.
Susan Wilson wed Greil Aguada at The Neighborhood Church of Castro Valley with Mrs. Eugene Rodrigues as patron of honor. Bridesmaids included Caro Jacobs and Jermian Allen. escorts were Eugene Rodrigues, Lionel Augusta Jr., and Kenney Cahill. Susan, daughter of Delpha Wilson and Carl Wilson, and Gregory, son of Lionel Augusta and his wife, attended in formal wear as guests.
