F1000T tuner praised for image rejection and sensitivity
The Harman Kardon F1000T transistorized tuner shows excellent image rejection and high sensitivity, with two attenuation switches for local and distant stations. In Dallas tests it picked up Austin and Waco FM stations with low noise, though nearby signals leaked in. The Citations-X performed slightly better on image rejection in extreme cases, but the F1000T offers transistor reliability and full stereo switching with automatic AM control, making it a strong buy when price is not a concern.
