Golden Wedding Ties Past Bandit Tales in Local Canyon History
The Garcia family marks a Golden Wedding at Dublin Palomares Canyon home. Laura Garcia recalls her father in law Ahm Garcia telling of a famed bandit once sheltered in a granary during a fearsome era. Caves in Palomares Canyon still hold arrow heads, and four generations attended the old Palomares School across the road from the Garcia home. Most attendees remain nearby in Dublin Palomares area, Maynard, Castro Valley or Fremont.
