Quadraphonic sound preview stuns audience in San Francisco
In a firehouse venue, Paul Beaver and Bernard Krause showcased a $20,001 quadraphonic system with a 12 mike cathedral recording and a Moog synthesizer. The act mixed studio and live elements, comparing the setup to a walking through space performance. The show at Fillmore West featured Stoneground and Doobie Brothers with a closing jam session, amid news of the Fillmore West closing on June 27.
