Angels In The Sky Make Going To War Almost Fun
At El Toro California Air Station five warm pink clothed hostesses aboard a MAC flight greet troops headed to Vietnam. The article follows Sharon Mulliken Annillison and others as they escort 150 servicemen, share light moments, explain why they fly, and describe the emotional toll and glamor of their duty. The women hope their work eases separation and fear, while veterans hail them as angels of the air.
