Duane Pope, a 22 year old recent college graduate, surrendered to police in Kansas City after being sought in the June 4 Farmers State Bank robbery at Big Springs Nebraska where three employees were killed. He was apprehended by five officers following a call from his hotel room. The FBI had labeled him extremely dangerous prior to his surrender.

Funeral services for Jessie C. Hamilton, 54, of Newark, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Fremont Chapel of the Roses. He is survived by his widow Rena, two daughters Thelma Nelson of Fremont and Sue Perryman of Newark, a son Kenneth Hamilton of Newark, father Jessie Hamilton of Fremont, brothers Alvin Hamilton of Fremont and M C Hamilton of Sacramento, and seven grandchildren.
