Ex-German POW Pelz returns to Memphis homecoming reunion
Edwin Pelz, 54, greeted by Memphis friends at the airport after being funded by local donors. He recalled wartime days at a nearby POW camp and said Memphis feels like home. Pelz, now a Dortmund hotel clerk, will spend three weeks with local families and plans a Mississippi River boat ride.
