Freed colonel says POWs backed U S policy in captivity
Cal Risner and St. John Dunn, released POWs, told a news conference at Clark Air Base they were not aware of U S antiwar sentiment during captivity but all supported President Nixon's policies. They said efforts continue between the United States and North Vietnam to locate missing and dead prisoners, with information being gathered from both sides. Risner, 47, Oklahoma City, and Dunn, 42, Neptune Beach, Fla., appeared in full dress uniforms and answered questions before about 10 reporters.
