Body found on Bolinas beach identified as young woman

Marin County authorities investigate death of a young woman whose nude body was found on a Bolinas beach. Deputy Coroner Richard Madigan described the victim as 17 to 25, about 5 feet tall and 107 pounds, with a 1963 Napa High School ring. the body likely lay on the beach four to five days.

Woman leaps to death from Golden Gate Bridge

A San Francisco housewife identified as Molly De Martini reportedly drove onto the Golden Gate Bridge around 9 p.m. Sunday and, after two attempts, jumped from the span. Coast Guard crews later recovered the body. she is the 371st self-inflicted death since the bridge opened in 1937.

Teenager Leaps to Death From Bay Bridge

Gerald Koop an 18 year old Belmont youth leaped from the San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge on Saturday night. He stopped his car on the eastbound level west of Yerba Buena Island turned off the lights walked to the railing and jumped about 200 feet into the water. The body was not recovered.

Fire at Garrett M. Golbert Paint Co causes heavy damage

A two alarm blaze at the Garrett M. Golbert Paint Company in downtown San Francisco Saturday night caused an estimated 100000 in damage. The fire fed by paint and candles quickly spread to a nearby three story frame apartment building but was halted by about 80 firefighters within about an hour. No injuries were reported.

Freeway chase ends in arrest in Fremont

Fremont motorist Archie Anderson, 55, of 40219 Pasco Padre Parkway, was arrested after a high speed chase on the Nimitz Freeway reaching speeds reported up to 90 miles per hour. He faces drunken driving and several traffic violations after the pursuit began near Stevenson Boulevard and Blacow Road and ended at the Alvarado-Niles Road exit.
