Corn Farmers Vote Against Supports Cut
In a 24 state referendum, U S corn farmers rejected a base acreage plan to raise production with lower supports. They will keep the present program limiting to 37 million acres with a price support of 1.36 dollars per bushel, 77 percent of parity. Senate Democrats promise to push for higher acreage later.
