John Connolly 64 retired San Lorenzo postmaster died after a long illness. He began as a clerk in Oakland in 1938 and moved to San Lorenzo in 1945. Promoted to assistant postmaster in 1949 and became postmaster in 1963 succeeding Gertrude Mooney. He helped civic groups and Democratic politics.
