The Keden Call Course on Rights and Democracy
A 1973 UC course text argues that individual rights evolve with society. It outlines three broad ways rights expand, notes groups such as blacks and women seeking broader participation, and discusses how changes challenge authorities while strengthening democratic legitimacy. Next Sunday, Herbert Packer discusses law in a mass society.

Do psychics transmit aid in crisis says Allen Spraggett
In a discussion of Arthur Ford, believed to talk with the dead, Spraggett recounts cases where people in distress felt compelled to reach the medium. Notable episodes include Hill Wilson aiding Ford during a heart seizure and a 1968 incident where a cardiologist answered a call to save Ford after a sudden collapse. A senator reported a daughter dreaming of Ford in danger.
