Millville's Holly City of America A Century of Holly Farming
In Millville New Jersey a large holly farm drives a year round celebration as the town proclaims itself Holly City of America. Clarence R Wolf of New Jersey Silica Sand Co built a holly export business starting with 42 boxes and expanding to 14 000 trees on a 55 acre orchard with 59 400 pounds of holly cut this month for distribution to the East. The crop supports local workers during winter, while the company experiments with 13 holly varieties and exports to Canada.
