Accident Kills 29 as Train Hits Bus in India
A passenger train collided with a bus at a crossing about 75 miles northwest of Patna, killing 29 and injuring 72. The locomotive derailed. the engineer and fireman were hurt. All but two of the injured were aboard the bus. None of the injuries were reported as serious.

LOS ANGELES AP Eight jurors recommended the death penalty for Raymond Trealar 25 in the North Hollywood tavern robbery murder of Armand Rivard 42 on February 10 1962. Trealar and co defendant David Duvall were convicted of first degree murder. Trealar later faced a new penalty trial after a ruling on parole eligibility. Formal sentencing set for January 6.
