Mamie Completes Christmas Buying Gift Wrapped
Rose McKee reports Mamie Eisenhower has finished Christmas shopping and is wrapping gifts, with the first lady’s secretary Mary Jane McCaffrey saying the president’s gift is hidden in the White House. Mrs. Eisenhower enjoys wrapping using red and green trimmings, ribbon, and Santa stickers. The couple plans to send about 3,000 Christmas cards to governors, Congress members, Cabinet, and Supreme Court.
