Bill would end ballot confusion over 1975 school elections
Sen. Craig Biddle R Riverside introduced Senate Bill 1474 to fix an inadvertent wording error that misled counties about holding school board elections in March 1975. The correction aims to allow non charter districts to conduct elections as planned while governors and lawmakers approve the measure. Counties vary in interpretation with Alameda Santa Clara and others watching for legal clarification and officials awaiting guidance.
