Hayward mother doubts son alive in missing plane case
Mrs. Phillip LaMar, mother of 19 year old Gregory Jones, said she holds little hope her son is alive after his Cessna vanished Monday night from Hayward airport. Civil Air Patrol and authorities expanded searches across Mt Hamilton, Basin Bay hills, Lake Tahoe, and Reno routes as residents were urged to report any unusual aircraft activity to CAP in San Jose. Jones, a Chabot College student with more than enough flight hours, took off on a Bay Area sightseeing flight with no contact since takeoff.
