Newark police arrested Terreuse Wade, 17, of 62 Lscallonia Drive, on a charge of sale of dangerous drugs after a patrolman spotted him in Mowry West. 95 year old man dies by apparent self inflicted shot
A 95 year old man identified as Frauldin Bannister living with his daughter's family at 195 Haas Ave was found dead in his bedroom at 3236 pm yesterday after apparently shooting himself in the head with a revolver. His daughter Mrs Leeta Nelson reported the death to police in San Leandro.

Two men were taken into custody after an early morning armed robbery at Dave's Richfield Service Station on Jackson Street. A 17 year old Hayward witness named Mars A. Gregerson reported two suspects drove a late model Pontiac, demanded cash, and fled with $44. A pistol and the money were recovered in a car later stopped by police. The suspects William H. Head On Crash Injures Two Men on Hesperian Boulevard
Two men were injured in a head on collision on Hesperian Boulevard near Industrial Parkway yesterday. Horace Cooney, 26, of Hayward, and Esperanza Shafer, 48, of Union City, were hospitalized at Rose Hospital in stable condition. Police say Cooney was northbound at 60 mph, lost control after reentering his lane, struck Shafer’s southbound car at 40 mph.
