Two Greyhound Buses Collide Near Waco Killing 28
In Texas near Waco two Greyhound buses collided head on just before dawn, both drivers died and at least 28 people were killed. Twenty five injured, two critically, with two to three missing. Investigators questioned an unknown vehicle possibly causing the crash and efforts to identify victims continued with dental and fingerprint work. Authorities called the crash the second worst of its kind in the nation since 1950.

The 18 year old Patricia Ann Partridge vanished from the Veendam near Short Hills New Jersey as her family hunted the ship after a note addressed to her parents. Her sister Harriet and parents Mr and Mrs Jesse D Partridge are heartbroken. The missing student had studied at St Martins in London and faced failures in an art course. The captain said she was last seen on the after deck at 3 am on Wednesday. A suitcase note found aboard remained private.
