Hawaii Dock Bill Aims to Open Territory Docks
Honolulu reports a bill to empower the territory to reopen Hawaii docks by creating a state of emergency and a territorial longshore agency. Matson stockpiled cargo in San Francisco for the Hawaiian Royal refinery ship, while pickets and union leaders debated arbitration and wage terms amid ongoing labor action.
