Fremont yo yo fight ends in three girls shot dead
In Centerville neighborhood three teenage girls died after a berserk shooting by 17 year old David Boyce, brother of one victim, amid a dispute over a yo yo. Two victims, Julia Anne Boyce and Robin Renee Liburdi, were found at 37062 Lassen Drive, while Sharon Louise Rogers died at Washington Hospital. David Boyce was taken into custody after wrestling with his brother Bobby and retrieving a gun. Police recovered a rifle. the exact murder weapon remained undetermined.

Toll protest parade at Fremont Hub over Bay Area toll hikes
Local residents formed a caravan at the Fremont Hub shopping center this morning before heading to Sacramento to oppose recently approved toll increases on Bay Area bridges. The Assembly Transportation Subcommittee planned testimony on Senate Bill 234 to strip the Metropolitan Transportation Commission of toll-setting authority.
