Ratisbon 30. Hoping that the Barbri de Jodecy, the Emperor's second Commissary to the Dyet, will arrive from Vienna with his Majesty's Decree. The decree to inform the Assembly of the Peace conclusion and demand approval of the Preliminary Articles including the Cession of Lorraine, as pledged in the third article.
Deal Feb 1 Outward-bound ships mostly failed the voyage. Jamaica Frigate Smith and Prospect Bowen for Jamaica, and Prince Frederick Whitwood for St Kits came down this forenoon and failed through. Winds were easterly in the morning and northwest later.
At a January 28 1735 meeting a large number of South Sea Stock proprietors gathered at the Fleece Tavern Cornhill to nominate themselves and a list of directors for the upcoming election seeking the support of fellow proprietors and votes for deputy governors.
At the Fleece Tavern on January 8 the EXE Committee reported a list of gentlemen nominated by a large body of Proprietors for Directors. Names include Heathcote Burrell Wilks Lombe Sharia Laroche Lloyd Mainwaring Peachey Pinnell Rider South Smith Thomas Thomas Thorpe Turner Way Wilkins Wood. Governors election next month with rules on proper qualification.
To let or sell the White Horse Stable-yard with stalls for 26 horses or convertible to warehousing. Also a house and several tenements near St Saviour's Church in Southwark. Enquire of Mr John Brith carpenter in Labour-in vain Yard near Old Fish Street.
A London assembly of proprietors on the 14th proposes P Burrell for Sub Governor and J Bristow for Deputy Governor with a nine‑member committee to nominate Directors. The following gentlemen are named for Directors, including J Beachcroft and J Collyer, urging votes for Governors, Deputy Governors, and Directors at the ensuing election.
Proprietors of South Sea Stock are informed that at the upcoming election no more than 22 of the current Directors may be chosen. Any ballot listing more than 22 names will be void.
A statement from Joan Bristow, voiced at a large meeting of proprietors at the Crown Tavern, requesting votes and support to be nominated for the Deputy Governor position of the South Sea Company in the forthcoming election.
London reports the death of the Right Honourable James Stanley Earl of Derby at his seat Knowesley in Lancaster. He held titles Viscount Kinton and Baron Stanley Strange (of Knokin).

The Court of Directors of the South Sea Company announces a General Court at their House in Threadneedle Street today from nine in the morning to six in the evening for the charge of Sub Governor and Deputy Governor. The court will adjourn to Thursday next for the election of Directors. Transfer books for New South Sea Annuities will be shut on both election days.
