Smoke Alarm and Free Pizza Night Aims to Keep Homes Safe
Harrisonburg firefighters and volunteers checked 600 smoke alarms and delivered hundreds of free pizzas from Cici's to homes from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday. They replaced batteries and detectors as needed while delivering pizzas, engaging the community in safety. Sharon King, a Keister Elementary teacher, had her CO detector replaced during the event.
