Coroner’s jury finds criminal negligence in fatal accident
A coroner’s inquest sat at Tuttle’s Undertaking Rooms concluded that criminal negligence caused the death of Jones. Witnesses testified belts and pulleys malfunctioned as two men attempted to adjust a belt with a pinch bar. Jones was struck in the back of the head and died hours later. Jones’s remains were sent to Brainerd, Minnesota, with his wife.
