Fatal Inquest Reviews Collins Mine Accident
Coroners Jury finds Edward Pollard died of natural causes after a pipe explosion at the Anaconda mine compressor. Pollard, 21, injured when repairing a high pressure line, died at Sisters hospital from a fractured skull and brain concussion. He lived with his mother on East Galena Street. inquest planned that evening.

Inquest Returns Natural Causes For Collins Death
Coroner Jullien held an inquest into the death of Edward T. Collins who died Wednesday while being moved from his room to St James hospital. The jury found natural causes likely heart failure. Barney Shanahan testified about the removal and Collins dying as they entered the hallway. Nettle Shugrue said Collins had prior illness and drank brandy with heart pains and a hemorrhage earlier in the week. Andrew Collins testified the deceased worked at Anaconda until two weeks ago and had ongoing heart pains with a prior hemorrhage Tuesday night.

Mrs. Katherine Kelley as Amarita delighted in Dreampt and an operatic selection. Mrs. Fred Holbrook as Regina was queenly and well conceived. Mrs. Fitz Butler portrayed Fortuna with a strong interpretation.

Usual, her work was very much appreciated by the audience. Miss Finnegan’s soldier song in Faust was well rendered. Mrs. E. B. Weirick made an excellent Virginia. The Duke of Burgundy was taken by Jack Thomas with good presence. Jack Moran and Miss Courtney’s rag time songs and dances were a hit. Justin Buttley’s Mephisto was artistic. Many cast members deserve special mention. The children were trained to a high state of perfection. The production will be repeated at the Grand tonight.
