A large farmers meeting in Billings created the Big Ditch Company to buy out the Minnesota & Montana Land & Improvement firm. W. D. Story, T. D. O'Donnell, P. B. Moss, L. A. Nutting, Jas Steele, P. W. Schaurer and Henry Struck were named directors for three months. Capital stock set at 64,000 dollars with 1,000 subscribed.
