Two Story Park Street Building Collapses in Butte
A two story brick structure on Hast Park street near Main collapsed about 2 pm. No injuries occurred as occupants escaped after warnings, with only the west and rear walls left standing. The Little Chief saloon on the ground floor housed the sleeping upper rooms. Built in 1881 by J M Bowes, the flimsy construction and aging foundation are blamed. Patrick Tallant previously owned the property and plans to extend his new building into the vacated lot.
