War dispatches from Manila report allied casualties

The War Department received a cable from Otis Manila dated March 4 listing casualties near Caloocan and San Pedro Macati. Private Alfred Cashmore sustained a thigh wound March 2. Sergeant Dennis Shea is reported missing March 1. Grant Cullam of the 10th Pennsylvania has not been seen since January 27 and is outside the lines.

Admiral Raises Flag On Olympia In Manila Harbor

Admiral George D. Dewey raised his flag as admiral aboard the Olympia in Manila this morning, firing salutes from the British cruiser Naversus and the Kaiserin Augusta and American ships in port. The U.S. flagship arrived from Hong Kong with civil members of the Philippine Commission aboard.
