Philadelphia March 6 Captain Torrance commanding the British tanker Tancarville shot three mutinous sailors during a January 10 attempt to secure a loose spar propeller amid a hurricane. John B. Gehb aged 42 formerly a prosperous insurance agent in Richmond committed suicide this afternoon by consuming two ounces of carbolic acid while in the county jail. He had been declared of unsound mind and placed under confinement. He leaves a wife and a brother residing at 4 Western avenue.

Weston March 6 incident pits Rexroad Baptist preacher Rexroad against Rex Simmons and James Bennet t in a land dispute turned deadly.
