Real Estate Boom Tied to Smelter Plans in Anaconda
A real estate man predicts a rapid price rise driven by remodeling the old smelters and new works near the Washoe site. Draughtsmen have arrived to draw plans for summer projects as workers return to the foundry and upper works, signaling a booming local payroll. The critic argues the company store system harms workers, but new management may let employees shop freely and cash checks at the office, boosting confidence and life in Anaconda.
