Amalgamated Copper Co Takes Charge in Anaconda
Tomorrow Anaconda will transfer control of the Anaconda Mining Co interests to the Amalgamated Copper Co. The change promises new management across smelters, foundry, electric railway and other works. Merchants doubt wholesale shifts, but city fortunes may improve as operations reorganize. Marcus Daly reportedly sells most holdings except his residence and Bitter Root farm.
