Colbys Dying Statement and Trial Testimony Collide
In Judge Clancys court the Peters case over Edward Colbys stabbing continued with the defense attempting to bar a dying statement from Alley deposition. The court allowed it, then halted its use. Doctors gave competing causes of Colbys death, one blaming the operation, the other illness and blood poisoning. Also noted were a clothing exhibit and testimony about Colbys funeral wishes.
