Denver June 7 The democratic state convention opened at 11 with State Chairman Smith presiding and LB F Montgomery as temporary chairman. Montgomery urged unity in Arapahoe county and noted William J Bryan as standard bearer awaiting Kansas ity convention ratification. Delegates from the second district chose John N Doyle Teller county and S T Pi-garald Telluride as national convention district delegates. Adjourned to 10 o'clock tomorrow.
