York January 18. Marshal Als cot of the Perry District has seized 17 500 worth of diamonds brought into the city by Antonio Ansenias without paying duty. The diamonds were found on Ansenias by a United States Custom officer while he claimed to be a Cuban merchant passing through to Cuba. He was arrested but the diamonds remain in custody pending treasury district court decision. The haul included 126 parts articles valued at about 11 000 with duty would bring total to 17 400.
