Northern Pacific to add double daily St Paul to Butte trains
Semi official reports say the Northern Pacific will soon inaugurate a double daily passenger service between St Paul Butte and Portland. Trains Nos 1 and 2 via Helena Nos 3 and 4 via Butte will quicken schedules shortening St Paul to Butte time by about seven hours. Butte will gain connections at Logan and Garrison with the Helena train giving four daily Northern Pacific runs. The line remodels sleeping cars and widens cars for better service.
