Court sessions open as Hammond pleas guilty in robbery case
Judge Clancy presided this morning in a busy session where Geo Hammond and Frank Shattuck faced robbery charges against a Chinese tailor shop. Hammond pleaded guilty and attempted to explain his past, while Shattuck pleaded not guilty and awaits trial next Monday. Several other defendants entered not guilty pleas and their cases were set for February trials. Also, Mrs. Elizabeth Byrne sought a legal separation from Edward Byrne but failed to produce sufficient evidence for a decree.
