Coroner's inquest into the Northern Pacific wreck near Blue Bird spur reveals a broken brake rod and loose switch as the likely cause. Two men, William Connolly and John Griffin, died. others injured. torpedoes and a green track light add mystery. Victims identified include Connolly with Eagles lodge ties. Griffin remains uncertain.

Committees from the Butte Miners Union and the Business Men's Association met in the Miners Union hall to form a memorial for the late Marcus Dal. Nine members attended. Mooney was chosen chair and Courtney secretary. The memorial committee was increased by eleven members to be selected by the two organizations, with adjournment until next meeting.

Tommehill sues Ted P Sinitun and Dr P Button company in district court seeking 1000 dollars for breach of contract over a play titled A Young Witch. Plaintiff claims he agreed to four performances with Mr Sutton on September 29 but city dates were cut to two, and Sutton refused further performances causing damages. Attorney Charles R Leonard represents plaintiff.
