Corean gold mining venture hopeful for capital and labor
J Fassett reports on Asian mining prospects in Corea with a 1400 square mile concession. He says the operation employs 7 white men and 3000 coolies, ships ore cheaply from New York, and predicts a vast open field for enterprise once imperial protections enable investment. He notes favorable climate, continuous gold outcrops, and strong interest from associated capital.
