Cars Damaged In Mishap Early Wednesday Morning

Funeral services for William A. Jasper a familiar Jefferson City figure for over 25 years will be held in Washington Missouri with burial there. He died suddenly in Washington at about 63 after a short illness. Jasper was a longtime salesman for the Sligo Iron Store Co of St Louis and traveled the territory and even attended evenings pinochle tournaments. He was a well known traveling man in the state and began visiting Jefferson City about twenty five years ago.

Two Local Men Injured In St Louis Collision
James Robertson 43 and Lawrence Vandliver 63, both of Jefferson City, were injured when their cars overturned in a St Louis crash. Robertson suffered possible skull fracture and lacerations, Vandliver a skull fracture and concussion. Frank Smith 34 of Clayton and Edgar Coxworth 42 of Niles Center also injured. Robert Smith, 18, driver of the other car, was charged with careless driving. All four were taken to St John’s hospital. Robertson and Vandliver, former penitentiary employees, are relatives of Fire Chief Ford Robertson.
