Poultry Festival Planned at Riverside Park Saturday
Tuscumbia June 6 Special Plans are complete for the Miller County annual poultry festival to run 4 to 10 p.m. at Riverside Park. Five teams from Tuscumbia Eldon Marys Home St Elizabeth and Iberia will barbecue 1000 halves of chicken. Exhibits, dances, parades, horse show, and educational demonstrations are planned with tours of processing plants for poultry and feed dealers.

The Missouri Conservation Commission announced the acquisition of Huzzah Wildlife Management Area in east central Crawford County. The 6,400 acre hardwood area, purchased from Col Joseph Plassmeyer for 42 dollars, will offer public fishing on Meramec River and Huzzah and Courtois creeks.
