Seattle June 57 Dave Beck president of the Teamsters Union was granted a delay in his scheduled appearance before a local grand jury to July 10 so he could attend the International Transport Federation meeting in Paris on June 17. Beck had been summoned to testify about affairs of Beck and the Union. He pleaded innocent yesterday to charges of underpaying his 1950 income tax by 56000 and must obtain federal authorization to leave western Washington.
