Giant Mindanao Flower Rediscovered and Named

Explorers on Mindanao island high on Parig mountain found a huge five petaled rafflesia blossom weighing about twenty two pounds and measuring three feet across. The flower known as bolo by locals was photographed and pressed for study. The plant was later named Rafflesia shadenburgia in honor of Dr Shadenburg who discovered it. A separate Musketon Michigan display showed a phonograph playing the dead man's voice at his funeral, startling attendees and creating a eerie moment.
